Buffalo Dreams is the foundation of my first collection and the piece that inspired the name of the studio. It was captured on my first major photo trip after moving to the Pacific Northwest to pursue this path—stepping into a landscape I hadn’t grown up in, but felt deeply drawn to explore.

But the buffalo itself is far more personal. It has followed me throughout my life—from a childhood stuffed animal given to me by Aunt and Uncle, to my high school mascot, to the dream catchers I’ve always kept over my bed. In many ways, this piece became exactly what its name suggests—a buffalo standing still, seemingly daydreaming, as the clouds build around him.

It felt like a quiet reminder to pause, take in what’s around you, and trust where you are—even if you’re still finding your way.

Icon of the West is a more intimate study. What drew me in wasn’t perfection, but texture—the ruggedness of his horns, the dirt and burrs in his coat, and most of all, the depth in his eye. There’s a presence there that feels steady and enduring, a reflection of the strength and history the buffalo carries.

Together, these pieces reflect two ways of seeing—one from a distance, one up close—but both grounded in the same idea: strength, resilience, and the quiet power to endure.
