The West is ranches, cowboys, horses, sagebrush and dusty roads—a history of grit worth remembering. BUT it is also found in quieter moments: buffalo on the plains, snowcapped mountains, soaring eagles, still lakes, wildflowers, rushing rivers and mist settling over Idaho.
These are the details easily missed. This is the West I observe.
